Private Class Cancellation Policy
Standard Cancellations (More than 24 Hours)
For Babbel Live Private Classes, you can cancel your reservation more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time with no penalty. The credit used to book your session will be automatically returned to your account, giving you complete flexibility to reschedule when convenient.
Late Cancellations and Missed Classes
If you cancel less than 24 hours before your private class or miss the session without cancelling, the credit used for that reservation will be forfeited. This 24-hour cancellation policy ensures our professional teachers can maintain their schedules and allows other learners to book available time slots.
How to Cancel Your Private Class
Desktop/Laptop Users:
- Go to the Live tab at https://my.babbel.com/tutoring/
- In the Scheduled section, select “See all” to find your booking
- Click “Cancel Class”
Mobile App Users:
- Select the Live tab from the main menu
- Tap “See all” in the Scheduled section
- Locate your booking and tap “Cancel class”
Intensive Class Cancellation Guidelines
Intensive classes follow the same 24-hour advance notice requirement as private classes. Students can cancel their class anytime before this deadline to receive their credit back. However, cancellations within 24 hours of the class start time result in credit forfeiture.

- Click on the class you wish to cancel

Once cancelled, you’ll see the class status updated in your dashboard, and both the administrator and teacher will be automatically notified of the cancellation. Teachers receive e-mail notifications to ensure they’re aware of schedule changes.
